Nicoll Expositor’s Dictionary of Texts (6 volumes)
This is not a dictionary.
This large commentary “contains outlines, expositions, and illustrations of Bible texts, with full references to the best homiletic literature”.
This homiletical classic is similar to the Biblical Illustrator on a smaller scale. The end of each section contains the bibliography references to famous authors and sermons. This multi-volume commentary is suitable for “Bible Expositors”—those who teach and preach and study.
The Expositor’s Dictionary of Texts was compiled/edited by William Robertson Nicoll who also edited the Expositor’s Bible Commentary and the Sermon Bible. Assisting Nicoll in the editing process was Jane Stoddart and James Moffatt.
